Quick summary
  • A Saudi virtual number is a real company number that rings on the cloud PBX instead of a line in the office.
  • Landline numbers are provided via licensed carriers as available; we do not promise a specific code or number before the carrier confirms.
  • Cloud extensions let each employee call and answer with the company number on mobile, browser or desk phone.

What is a virtual number?

A virtual number is not tied to a copper line or an office box. Calls arrive over the internet at the cloud PBX and are routed to employees wherever they are.

How numbers are provided

Numbers in Saudi Arabia are issued by licensed carriers. Etisalna is licensed by CST and connects with carriers such as STC, Mobily and GO. We check what is available for your city and number type; area codes and specific numbers depend on carrier availability, and fees depend on the carrier and number type. A valid CR is usually required. Existing landlines can often be connected or ported.

What is a cloud extension?

Each employee gets an extension on the Android app (iPhone app coming soon), browser, Windows or Mac desktop app, or an IP desk phone, with caller ID, calling permissions, transfers and voicemail to e-mail. See mobile and desktop apps.

Who it suits

Start-ups, field sales teams, multi-branch companies, remote teams and online stores pairing a service number with the WhatsApp API. For one nationwide number see the 9200 unified number; for free calls see the 800 toll-free number. All can share one IVR.

Practical examples

Example: a small consultancy whose landline rings on staff phones and falls back to voicemail by e-mail. Example: a contractor whose site managers call suppliers with the company number, recorded, without sharing personal mobiles. Example: an online store with one service number and WhatsApp overflow during sales. For good quality you need a stable internet or mobile data connection, a decent headset for computer users, clear calling permissions and app notifications enabled.

Pricing

The platform starts at SAR 90 per user per month including the extension, apps, IVR and recording. Number fees depend on the carrier and type; calls are billed per second by usage. Prices are in SAR and exclude VAT. See pricing. Meetings are in our Riyadh office or online, and setup is remote for any city.

FAQ

Frequently asked

Can I choose a specific area code?
Numbers are provided via licensed carriers as available at the time of request; we review what is offered for your city and cannot guarantee a specific code or number in advance.
How much is a virtual number?
Number fees depend on the carrier and number type; calls are billed per usage. The cloud PBX starts at SAR 90 per user per month, excluding VAT.
Virtual number vs cloud extension?
The virtual number is the external number customers dial; a cloud extension is each employee internal line used to answer and call with the company number.
Does the app ring when closed?
Yes. The mobile app rings even when closed, so you do not miss calls.
Do I need a commercial registration?
Usually yes for landline and unified numbers; the carrier sets the exact requirements and we confirm them first.
Can I use my current landline?
We review it with the carrier; in many cases it can be connected or ported to the cloud PBX.
Is it suitable for small businesses?
Yes. Start with one user and one number and add more as you grow.
